Podcasters have been struggling with labeling their Facebook podcast page, as a podcast page. There were a few options for labeling pages related to audio such as radio station, but a podcast isn’t a radio station. Podcasters require (or desire) a specific label for our creations of audible content.
Facebook had to get with the podcast program or risk falling behind as Myspace had done many years ago.
In December 2014, Facebook publicly unveiled its podcast category page—and nobody noticed. There were literally crickets chirping in the podcast category land.
When beginning this piece there was a question being dangled above my head like a carrot, as though I were somehow related to a hungry rabbit, and that question was; “Is this new podcast category for pages going to be valuable in terms of either SEO value or driving my content to more listening ears?”
If you’re here reading this, then I’m going to assume that you too are interested in creating a podcast page, and you may also be wondering if it will increase awareness of your audible content. First let’s get to the heart of the matter, creating or adjusting your page to a podcast page.
Creating a Facebook Podcast Page
